It's amazing the stuff that goes on during a week that you forget. Then you start to recount the events as you go along in your morning chores. OK I DO anyway...

Other goings on: I had to make a trip to the Queen city as it's called on Weds. It wasn't a bad trip on the whole. Traffic wasn't as bad as usual. And I got some birthday shopping done for mom whose birthday was yesterday. Anyway while shopping at Hobby Lobby a first happened to me. I was sneered at by two young women in there their perfect little outfits and perfect little hair do's perfect EVERYTHING. I just happened to come along in my jean shorts (with a tiny hole... NOTE perfect), It's a Farm Thing T-shirt definitely not the in vogue thing, slip on tennis shoes ... OK it was the most none perfect comfortable outfit. I've never had a perfect day and I doubt I ever will... In all honesty I don't care. Then after they and their turned up noses walked away I got to thinking... :) if it weren't for me and other farmers around the globe they would die of starvation more than likely. Trust me this pair wasn't the type get your hands near the dirt let alone in the dirt. So that lead me to even more thinking at least I know how to raise all of my own food and if need be I could grow most of my food. And charge them an arm and leg!!!! (note: I'm wickedly laughing over this... ha ha tee hee!!!!)

OK off to something else... weather... it's been HOT. At least for this time of the year. By now we are in sweatshirts for most of the morning. Not this year... It's hot and humid and the highs have been near 90. It's still tank tops and shorts and the AC going full blast. And the flies... oh man oh man they are bad. I've lost the stinky stuff for the traps and of coarse they are all sold out. ARGH!!!!! One good thing... no wait TWO good things... oops Three good things... the grass is growing to beat the band, we still have flowers, and the fall veggie garden is looking good.
