No turning back...

Autumn has officially gotten here, we've seen the last of the heavenly 80's for this year. I would have hoped for a more gradual change though. Going from the 80's for a high one day and the next it's in the low fifties and you reached that high at 6 AM. So that's how it's been for the last few days. Cold and trying to rain with nasty North Easterly winds, gusting up to 35 mph. If the wind would lay and the sun would come out things would be pretty nice. Today it's supposed to rain... boo hiss boo... at least it's not snow!!! Have you ever noticed snow is great when your a kid... you pray for snow days if you go to public school, if your home-schooled it doesn't really matter much though. I did both... ANYWAY then somewhere along the line you have to start working out in it. It becomes a cold, wet, and at times slippery enemy, that is if you farm. At least that's how it is for me... I think it's pretty... sometimes it's can be gorgeous! On the flip side though... snow is 1000 times better than ice!

The ice storm of 2007 is still fresh in my mind. Every time the lights blink we jump. One good thing though... it has made us prepared for times when we don't have electricity. We have a special place we keep: flashlights, candles, matches batteries, a regular telephone. The last one I know sounds silly, but all phones these days are run on electricity. And cell phones here don't always work the best.

Yesterday evening I took Scout for her first truck ride since her accident. I've never seen a more happy dog than she was. She came in the house all wiggles and started playing with any all squeaky toys she could find! The house was filled various squeakers being made use off. I was glad there were chores to finish to get away from the noise!

Well that's enough rambling for now, chores await... Yee Haw!!!
