I do believe that Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. The smells, no stress of shopping, what to get, what not to. It's just a nice day. Feasting, laughter, resting... naps... did I happen to mention that resting is right up there with things. This year I might have a new calf by then. I'm somewhat bummed about this but we need the milk so I'm not complaining. OK so I might complain if it's a bull calf. A heifer I will try and be over joyed about.
This year was supposed to be even better. We were going to be in a nice warm home, with windows and celebrating the day and our many blessing. Now we will just be in our old home and be counting our blessing and praying that we will soon be in our home and that what needs to be corrected will be. Also that the weather holds!!!
We are having a beautiful November so far. Some days we are over 20 degrees above normal. Boy I could get used to this in a hurry. I'm in no rush for snow! or any really cold weather. Today is supposed to be nice and sunny. After being out in the rain and some awfully fierce lightening (note: at one point I was petrified) It's not much fun flinging grain when the weather is nasty. But in the face of our current situation, it the best thing I've done and will do. The thought of... I'm sorry but I can't and won't go there. I'm living day to day, moment by moment. God is still God and I am doing my utmost best to praise him no matter what things look and feel like.
