It's a chilly morning here. The house is chilly and so am I. We are hoping and praying that we can find someone to fix the blower that went out on our stove over the week end.
All in all it's been a good past few days here. I finally bought a Christmas tree on Friday, it's a nice jolly fat one that's tall. I don't mind skinny trees, but sometimes they lack in character. Got it up and decorated on Saturday and we have been enjoying it greatly. We also decided to wait and do gifts until next Tuesday. This Christmas season having been just too rushed and we have all been in a foul mood not wanting to do much of anything, then deciding to get over ourselves and be thankful for what we've got.
We will however have Christmas dinner with our Aunt and Uncle. They will be coming here. So it should be a fairly relaxing and enjoyable day. Even if Aunt Linda has a fit. Today we will have our traditional Oyster stew for dinner with those wonderful little oyster crackers. I don't think we've ever missed having it, even when times were lean and we couldn't afford much of anything extra.
Today is also going to be cookie making day! I never did get around to it the other day. :)
OH we had a new heifer born!!!! Sassafras had Snowflake 3 days ago. The reason I named her such a creative name :) is she has one white spot the size of a quarter on one hip and 3 white spots the size of peas on the other. For some reason that whole line has white on their hips. Everyone one of them did or does!
