Ice Storm... and I'm READY for spring!!!

Well we still have power, we don't have as much ice as predicted for us, and so there for I'm a happy camper. It's bad enough with ice covering everything and it being slick out. Today I think I'll roll out a bale of hay for the moos to lay on. The milking moos that is. I imagine that it's not very comfortable laying on frozen muddy ruts with an encasement of ice.

I did manage to get to town yesterday morning before it got too bad out. I only slide once and that was while I was still on our road, and I shouldn't have been going so fast , around a curve that is covered with at least a 1/2 inch of sleet, slush and rain mix.

Yesterday was a very ho hum day. I think we all just held are breath to make sure the power stayed on. I'm sure yesterday we were all praying the same thing. Which brings me to something else... I'M READY for SPRING!!!!! I'm tired of winter, ice, snow (even though we've not had much) I need green grass, flowers, sunshine... Spring can't come soon enough for me.
