Well I hope that with that blog title that the part of the Wizard of Oz where it's goes something like that is now stuck in you head. :) LIONS and TIGERS and BEARS OH MY!
Anyway... Chores seemed never ending today... just a normal Thursday. Mom was bush hogging the 22 today. The 22 meaning the 22 acres of bottom ground we have. ANYWAY last year we had some timber cut by a buddy of our former general contractor. The blog title for THAT fiasco would be " BEWARE of MEN with Buddies! " , OK back to the matter at hand... they left huge logs and stumps all over the fields and down in the 22 is where they stack and cut them up. So there was a mess down there and mom wanted me to come and we would clean it up. SOO being the ever so wonderful person I am, (shameless plug for myself) I in listed Krissie (my aunt) to come and help. Here come the Hornets part...
Hornets... Nasty buzzing creatures! We were almost done when she picks up what she thought was a small log only it was bark full of hornets. SO she got stung twice... it could have been worse and she is doing OK now. Thankfully mom had a drink with lots of ice since it was so dog gone hot today, so having ice right then and there helped a bunch.
As for the calves... we have two new ones... I'm not sure what they are...more than likely they are bulls... See how positive I can be? :)
Before I close and go and put a dry rub on a brisket I'm going to be smoking... I just want to thank all the people who have been and continue to pray for me and my family. We are taking things one day at a time, praying and praising, and trying to keep up beat. It's hard... but we are trying.
