Well good ole Aggie is down with a boo boo... Mom was out bush hogging yesterday when all of a sudden she couldn't steer the tractor. This was at 2:30 pm. So I called the house as I was gone getting chicken feed, mineral, salt and other stuff. My grandmother answered and I told her what was going on and to call U.Larry to come and have a look. Since if I needed to head to Lockwood for parts I would at least be that much closer. Lockwood is about 100 miles from us. Almost to the KS border.
Anyway long story short, it was the tie end rod on the right side that was sheered off. If it would have happened while mom or I was going up and down the hill or creek it would have been very bad. SO we are thankful it happened on level ground and she was OK.
After calling I don't know how many dealers for the part and NONE of them having one, SINCE they don't sell very many of those. We are having one of the five in the WHOLE country (that's right there is only 5 of these in the whole USA) air mailed to Lockwood for me to hopefully pick up this afternoon. We are praying that it does get there today since the cows will have to go with out feed this morning since we only have the one tractor.
Other news: 7 more quarts of G.B., with 7 more ready to go into the canner today. It's going to be a warm and muggy day here again. BUT NO rain in site... Now there is a mixed blessing.
