Ponderings...

It's August 1st y'all... In 16 days we will have come to the year anniversary of the seemingly never ending basement and house of horrors saga. Is there an end in sight? Only God knows... BUT having come to this point I've been doing some figuring... I really should have been an accountant or something. I love numbers... love figuring...

ANYWAY here are some figures... They aren't EXACT numbers, below the real mark, BUT close enough. Since 8-17-07 we have spent:

Over $11,800.00 in interest alone on a house that is sitting in our pasture that we can not live in.

Over $4700.00 in interest alone on a basement we can't fix so there for we can't use.

Over $7000.00 in interest alone for our farm... That was just about as much as our total payment before this fiasco, and more than half of that would have gone to principal.

And at this point we don't even know when or if we will be able to start in again. It's rather disheartening to say the least.

On to other things... canning corn, tomatoes, and peaches is on tap for today. First we have to make it through chores, an appointment, calf hunting, and what ever else comes up.
