Today...

Today was pretty good... cool (high 81 for August!) tomorrows high will be 77 they say with rain. It rained off and on all afternoon.

In checking the dry cows this morning I found 2 new babies. Candy... my baby had a HEIFER!!!!!!!! I cried... and cried and cried. Anne Shirley had a bull... she always does. I don't even care.

I weeded part of a flower garden. Not all of it since having hurt my back it hurts and in turn hurts to bend over for very long. Took a short nap while watching the Olympics... all of 10 minutes. :)

This evening my grandmother and I got both babies caught and the mothers put with the milking herd. Then switched the dry cows and heifers to a different pasture. I but grain in the "bin", fed the calves with Krissie's help. And I've been watching the Olympics since having come in from chores.

On that note I have got to say I was SO disappointed that our men's beach volleyball team lost. I know it's odd... Here I am in Podunk, land locked, never been to a beach, but I adore watching beach volleyball! When I was a kid I liked playing it also.
