Lets start out with the rain... Gustav came through for us. It started to "spit" last night after chores, and by this morning we had a nice 20 minute down pour. After that it was a nice gentle rain, sprinkle and by noon we were having another down pour. It's so nice to have rain. The cows were so happy they just ran... :) udders and hooves were flying... :)
The calves weren't to happy about the rain though... I could feed them grain in the rain... they would just waste it and so they will get fed dinner rather than breakfast. The babies cared less about the rain... they only care if they get fed their milk RIGHT NOW!
I have been hungry for Red Beans and Rice for some time now. So I picked up one of those handy dandy mixes at the store. Well it's been in our way for sometime now. SO the VERY day it's decided to have them... the package has gone AWOL. Grrr It's just like socks in the dryer... there is always going to be one missing that you need and you'll never find it until you pitch the loner. So once we eat the sausage in something else... hmm a Shrimp Boil sounds good. The Red Beans and Rice will turn up.
