Today has been a busy and very windy day. I don't ever remember wind gust warnings in December.
After chores this morning I went in search of our Christmas tree. I just couldn't bring myself to get one at the grocery store. They were shades and green, yellow, and brown. And just NOT me. So since they are all sold out I HAD to make a trip to find one. First stop Walmart Super center... I didn't think that our local grocery stores were any good until I saw Wally Worlds... I was very disappointed and thought I would have to make a trip to Springfield. Thankfully the Boy Scouts had a small tree lot... :) They only had 5 Fraser Firs left! I really didn't want a Douglas what ever they are... I got out and asked the price. All I had was $38.00 for a tree... I wasn't hoping to get as big of a tree as I would like (I like tall fat trees :)...) But I looked. After some talking with the man... running the lot. He told me to offer a price... since anything at this point was pure profit it didn't matter what the real cost was. On the inside I was in disbelief... Could I really get this wonderful $90.00 tree for $38? YES!!!!!! I was so happy and thanking God for providing just the I desired. I know it's just a tree but hey... God can do anything he wants... I asked and received a great deal on a Christmas tree. They loaded it and tied it down to the top of the Yukon and away I went.
So the tree is in the house... and I'll start the decorating of it tomorrow. I wanted it in before it started raining tomorrow.
After getting the tree and coming home I cleaned off the holding pen and side lot before the weather gets bad. And then fed hay to the milk cows, came in got warm, did my evening chores early. Came back in got warm again, had dinner and finished evening chores.
You'll notice I've added music again. :) I love music and feel everyone else should also! :) Anyway for the moment it's my most favorite Christmas time music. Have a good one everyone!
