A whole new year...

It seems to stretch out in front of me like an empty canvas. Or fabric waiting to be cut and sewn into various quilts, clothes, curtains... I could go on. I'm sure you get my drift.

Somethings though are just the same thing, different day. Chores, cows, feeding... Going to town for onions because NO body to you that there was not ONE yellow onion on the whole farm! And how in the world are you going to make Beef Lo Mien, Egg Rolls, Vegetable something or other... without ONIONS!? And of course one onion leads to getting 4, 4 onions lead to OH we need cat food for the grey one ton spade Manx cat and her various off spring (OK so she's NOT one ton... she is large though... just the way we like them ). So from a quick trip to get onions, it ends up being onions, fortune cookies, news paper, cat food, interfacing, and this carbonated fruit juice... which isn't half bad! And would you believe there was a run on cat food. All I got was one small indoor cat, cat food bag of food. Sigh... :)

All in all it was a good day. Dinner was good even if I do say so myself. The rice was on the salty side so it got pitched. Chores went well and some friends, God bless them (and I mean that whole heatedly) brought us 2 loads of DRY wood to burn in our stove. It's the first time we've been really and truly warm in days. And not I'm not exaggerating.
