Leave it to MO weather... there was a study done sometime that said that MO was the most changeable. I believe it. A few days ago we were in single digits for lows... Now for a low it is 53... 66 for a high today. It's almost HOT people! :) I'm not complaining!!! If we could just go through the rest of winter like this, I do believe I could handle it.
Randy finally came to get the tank wash fixed, and we had a nice talk. And I do believe I could have fixed the wash myself. But then what do I know... and I wouldn't have wanted to break the new part or anything more expensive. Right?
We had our first calf of the new year yesterday. A bull... yup a male bovine, it's a boy... sigh... at times like this I always ask, WHY couldn't you have a been a heifer?! and I never get an answer. All I get is this small toast colored baby bovine that looks up at me with big brown googly eyes and for a moment a brief moment and I do mean a micro second, I melt. Then it all comes crashing back the feeding, the bawling, the sucking of fingers to keep them from sucking other things, the worrying over when they are sick... Yup after that the fuzzy feelings have all gone. Is it all worth it... yes... but do we like going through it? hmmmm I'll let you know :)
In other news... there is no other news... all the cows have been fed, I got the stick unstuck from the auger (don't ask! I didn't get it stuck my grandmother did...) I have came up with a new swear word... CRANBERRIES! If you say forcefully with lots of gusto it relieves tons of tension. :) I manged to get to TOWN the other day and can honestly say... people are NUTS! For a person who goes to the Mall once a year and have had to have gone 3 times in less than 3 weeks... If I could I would just do all my locally or online. I'm more of a 4 lane cow path kinda person... 4 lanes of pavement and cars zipping in and out stresses me out!
