Nope... It sounded really good when I was thinking about it. It still is in fact. But plans to have a way of changing when you get going with the days. And of course that's what indeed happened yesterday.
On the spur of the moment I decided we need to worm and vaccinate 16 of the 17 babies in this one group I have. So that meant after AM chores running into town and getting some Tri 4= Type II BVD, Plumoguard (SP), and 8-way blackleg. Thankfully we had JUST enough worm er here so I didn't have to buy that lovely pricey item. Everything seems to be expensive anymore.
Anyway after I got home, I made up a makeshift pen, my grandmother came out, and we got down to business. I chase, hold, and release while she gives the shots. I just hate giving shots... I'm always worried I'll get something in a vein and kill them. Silly I know... but it's the truth. This summer I did work my way up to giving small doses of antibiotic, vit., and banimene (SP).
We finished a little after 2PM so that left a few hours for me to just relax. And that's what I did! :)
