Another year another deer season...

Yes today is opening day... Many a deer will be on their way to the butcher shop that is less than a quarter of a mile a way and the dumpster for the waste is probably 500 feet or less from us...

I just detest deer season. Not because of the hunting... it's something that needs to be done to keep the animals that live healthy and well fed, hopefully will cut down on the deer I see along side of the road, and well for some people this is all the meat they will have for a year. And I think it's a good thing that a lot of the hunters donate their deer to the food banks. At least it not going to waste.

It's the crazy hunters, the smell from several hundred deer remains rotting over a month or more time (let me tell you when the wind is right and your walking in from the milk barn you hold your breath), it's waking up to find that the dogs during the night have brought home a "SURPRISE" and left it in the yard.

So Happy Hunting to those of you who are sensible...
