BF... Anymore that can stand for a lot of things... however today it's standing for yesterday. Black Friday... The day when sales abound and normally rational people can claim temporary insanity. And all for what? A toy, gadget, gizmo? Some fancy TV, Computer, gaming console? Granted I like all of those things... I would really love to have the money for some of those things.
In the scheme of things however... couldn't we all live without them? Some people haven't this year. Three people have lost their lives this past BF at the hands (and feet) of people who really only care about themselves. And yes I know they are buying for others... BUT was it worth it? How are they going to live with themselves? How can you justify taking a life in the quest for a gift?
What about the family members of those who were killed? How many have thought about them and what they are having to deal with. OK I'll get off my little soap box now... It just bothers me.
Saturday's Thankful Thought: To know the true meaning of Christmas and knowing it's not about the present gifts, it's about the one who gave the ultimate gift.
It bothers me, too, Sara. And is this insane frenzy really done in the name of Christ???
