OK, today was a pretty good day on the whole. Other than mom falling on the steps, Krissie falling in a fresh cow pie (tee hee), my grandmother tripped on the framers electric cord, and I almost fell off the steps. The weather was just about perfect. Not to hot and just the right amount of chill in the air.
Any who , mom and I went up to the Amish stores this afternoon. There where a couple of pieces of furniture she wanted to have refinished so we took them up, went to this one Amish mans store which is pretty neat for our neck of the woods. It's on the lines of Lehmans in Kidron,OH. NOW that's a store I would like to go back to someday. Anyway he's not always been Amish. In fact his "English" parents have been staying with him in their RV all summer. He understands the Amish when they talk in their German/dutch but you hardly ever hear him speak it. And when he does well it just doesn't sound right. Does that make sense?
Well we got home rather late and I wanted to go see the progress on the basement. So there I was snapping pictures to commemorate the construction. OK so here's the set up. The framers had brought their dogs with them today. A Boxer named Wheezy, and a Red Healer named Tucker who is 4 months old and dee cutest ting in dee world... Yes I'm typing in baby talk... any way I was walking through the basement trying to pictures walls finished, the furniture, my sewing room, my bedroom... and there it was, the funniest thing I've ever seen.
I'm guessing Tucker got tuckered out during the course of the day. So much so that he feel sound a sleep in what is to be in my bed room, well the one kid working today must have gotten bored as someone drew around him in his sleep. (see picture above and enlarge if need be) I think this is how it was. I just thought it was TOOOOOOOOOOOO funny! I've laughed more at that than I have anything in ages.
Scout Update: Her one front leg started to really swell during the course of the morning. So I called the vets office and he now wants her to have an X-Ray tomorrow morning. She's not feeling so hot as you all can imagine. She's also not happy about having to stay in the house for most of the day and when she is out having to be supervised. She is a very independent, stubborn, and willful dog. Now Ranger her best bud is getting depressed as she's not there to play with and get in to trouble with. How do these furry creatures get such a hold on our hearts? Something that can't talk and can only give sloppy wet doggie kisses. Oh how glad I will be when she is out and about again with me doing chores, her hanging out the window when we get the cows up... I could go on and on..
One of these days I'm going to have to post a picture of them both together. I have the perfect one taken I just need to get it put up... Maybe Sunday...
