Yesterday was a busy day. Mom finished canning her Chili beans (which by the way turned out really well), they she canned 6 pints of Butter Beans, and finally I made up 20 pints salsa. I cored, chopped, skinned, chopped, boiled, canned until after 7 last night. But it looks good and it even tastes good! :) It should be really good with cheese this winter.
Now that was a nasty word. I don't even want to think about winter! I want to think about canning chicken noodle soup, vegetable soup, chicken, pickled peppers, and maybe if time allows more tomato juice.
Farm wise I got salt mix for the moo's today, they just aren't coming up on their milk with the new feed like they should. SO like always I'm taking matters into my own hands. :) Why do I always think I can just give over everything and just trust the feed guys? I never do never will I suppose... and Ummm JARED I have another question for you... this has to do with feed. I'm lost... and need someone to explain the grain mix to me. PLEASE!!! Thank you... :)
