I love my mother... I really do. But when she gets in her head to do something she does it full force. My mother, my dear funny mother... decided she was going to CAN Chili beans! Bless God almighty!
So 11 pounds of dry kidney beans,7 quarts of water, 7 c. onion, 4 c. green peppers, and I don't know what else later... there are 20 quarts and a pint of chili beans canned and ready for winter. :) Her next thing is Butter Beans... Thankfully we only have 2 pounds of those...
As an after thought. I hope they taste good, or it's going to take a lot of doctoring to a LOT of chili this winter.
On tap for today... SALSA and coming up with a recipe for chicken noodle soup to can. MMMM...
