No title Tuesday

I just can not come up with anything this morning.

Review of the weekend or just Sunday to now...

Sunday was a rather peaceful day. I made dinner... steaks, twice-baked potatoes, green beans, hominy, and for the raw factor carrots... that tasted nasty and will just have to be pickled. Baked a Red Velvet cake for mom's birthday. FROM SCRATCH! No cake mix here for that. And just a not on this... instead of the buttermilk in the cake I used unflavored yogurt! This was by far the best cake ever.

I did manage to get in a short nap, but I didn't feel anymore rested or relaxed after the fact. Chores went well even though it was a bit chilly.

Yesterday was Mom's birthday. So I made breakfast and dinner. We only do two meal around here. Breakfast was sausage and biscuits with fried potatoes. Dinner I did a shrimp boil. MMM MMM good. We do this once a year... however it's almost always in the summer when we can have fresh corn and potatoes. This year the summer just got away from me.

OH it's raining out... Well we were needing the rain, so I won't complain until November about the precipitation :)
