OK I'm not a fan of Obama... even though he does have a great plan for small and organic farmers. And McCain is for NAFTA, CAFTA and all the other AFTA's out there... I'm not getting into that. The truth about these chicken houses, is this... YES the cages are large enough for the bird to stand up and somewhat stretch her legs. But they are de-beaked (so there isn't cannibalism) they are fed arsenic so they don't get sick at least the last I heard, and family farm? PLEASE they are factory family farms. They are putting the little guy out of business. And while this bill might put them out of business, others will benefit. Manly the people.
And by the way... the chickens in these houses... where do you think they go after they have lay ed their little hearts out? They become chicken nuggets or chicken noodle soup. This is the reason I don't eat either unless I make them myself.
