10 days and counting!

Just think... Thanksgiving is a short 10 days away... I love Thanksgiving. It's the least stressful of all the holidays. No gifts to buy, no worrying if they will like it, no wrapping or clean up of the unwrapping, and no money worries ,need I go on?

Thanksgiving is a straight forward kind of holiday. You eat, drink (soda or tea) or whatever you want, and be merry! You look back over the year and reflect on the things you are thankful for... The trials and troubles that might have gone with the good to get you where you are.

And some will have more to be thankful for than others, and others will not see the blessings they have right in front of them. Only to say I don't have anything... why should I be thankful?! What has anyone done for me?! No one cares. So why should I care or help anyone else.

I feel for those people. Because for the moment we all have our freedom. And brave men and women who fought for our right to be free and the ones who are fighting today. Those who have lived and died never complaining (OK so we don't know that for sure... but you get my meaning). For those of us who are Christians we always have God. And I personally believe we all have at least one thing to be thankful for.

So what are you thankful for this year?

Need a refresher course on Thanksgiving and the Pilgrims? Have no fear... here's the LINK to some history.

Hey Sara:

Thanks for your post on Thanksgiving and Christmas....we had our Thanksgiving on the second Monday of October here in Canada, but that doesn't mean we can't be thankful again (and all the time!) :-) So, I'm thankful for the internet where I've met so many wonderful and interesting people! I am enjoying reading your blog.
