It has turned off COLD here again. I know like we didn't know it wasn't coming. Some how after you have a warm few days the cold seems all that much more chilling.
It's been a busy past few days here. And let me tell ya I'm tired. A normally relaxing Sunday has taken on a life of it's own. Stocking up on food and such. Unloading 2 loads of hay. Feeding hay and finding that a steer is down and bloated. ARGH I did manage to get him up once on my own. Only to have him get on his feet and fall over and then I couldn't budge him. So I went for reinforcements. Yet again he is on his feet and standing more steady. We moved 6 calves from one pen to another, I more their feeders so there would be more space for them to eat. And now am finally in until I have to go back out in a little more than an hour.
Wishing for spring to come swiftly as I've about had it with cold, ice, snow (unexpected on Friday night), winds... and an ever looming ice storm potential. Is there any one who want to buy me a farm in Southern TX???? if so let me know!!! :)
