WHY?

Why do most of the men in the dairy business (on the feed, nutrition etc.) have to be so SO annoying?! I try I really do try not to let it bother me, but yesterday morning was the burr that got under my saddle moment.

In short I have been pricing feed from local and not so local sources. So far everyone of them thinks THEIR nutritionist is this genius and mine is this dunce and so they CHANGE MY ration! That is one thing that just gets me, but I was trying to let it go. Well so far there has not been any real savings over where I'm getting it now... ARGH. So I called this place one place that hadn't called me back where I could get a semi load at a time and save quite a bit of money. SOOOOOO he started figuring and came up with the figure of $240 a ton!!! I even asked him again. Yup is was still $240... Which is $35 more than I'm paying now and only getting 14 ton a month! I should have had a $20-30 a ton savings below what I'm paying now. Needless to say I was ticked. And he wasn't happy when I asked him to send me a print out of the prices. And I some how doubt I will ever even see it. What gets me the most is, if I were a man there wouldn't be this problem. And it's the same way with the hay and everything else I go to do. WHY do SOME men have to be so so so NARROW minded?!?!?! OK I feel better now... :)

In other farm new we've had 2 more calves, both bulls. I was really hoping for heifers out of both of them. There is always next year I suppose. The garden is really starting to take off, sometime I'll post a few pictures. Sewing is going at a crawl, and at the moment I've been cutting fabric into fat 8 th's for a swap I'm in.
