Watering while the sun shines...

It's a heat wave in the great out doors! 35 degree's with loads of sunshine. What a blessing to have some melting going on. Everything is soaking up as much warmth as rays can bestow.

I do believe I would do the same thing if we had a sun room or I had a place to sit where the snow wouldn't melt underneath me. It also makes me wish I knew how to cross country ski. Wouldn't that just be the most fun?! Of course it would be good if I lived in a state where there were more snow days than maybe snow on the ground for a total of 2 weeks during the winter months. Don't ya think? Thankfully I don't but one never knows what the future can hold. However I'm not holding my breath!

With the warming effects the frozen water hose and hydrant became unfrozen than I would have thought possible. After all the better part of the hose was under snow and sleet. So at least I got the big calves, Stupid (our next beef, and trust me he is STUPID!), baby moos, and the goats watered. I did this while feeding Cotton Blossom her mid afternoon bottle. I'll be glad when she's over the scours and I can go back to the twice a day feedings vs. four a day feedings to keep her hydrated. I don't mind though... as long as I don't fall again (did that this morning in a mad dash to get to a phone that was ringing on the hook!).

If you're feeling generous, you could ship some of that sunshine to upstate New York. I almost forget what it looks like!
