Wife Swap - Stephen Fowler

For some reason I just can NOT get this out of my head. I've been reading the ABC's Wife Swap message board over episode #511 (I believe that is the correct one) The Long/Fowler swap.

How can any one person be so hateful, berating, an so self important? This guy (Stephen) found pleasure in hurting another human being. He was classifying entire groups of people. Those who were beneath him. Midwesterners, non-college educated, those from small towns, the overweight, those in the military. From his apparent views, all these people are stupid and well below him. Like he said we need your kind to serve in the army. Or something to that effect

However, because of him people from all walks of life, the college educated, non-college educated, small town people, big city people, East coast, West coast, North and South, military, Christan's, atheist, they all banded together in a great dislike of the Fowler clan.

One thing though is this. Farmer's seem to be beneath EVERYONE. It's nice to know that the people who are feeding this country and other countries are so low on the "food chain" no pun intended. If people think we (farmers) are so stupid WHY on earth do they allow us to feed them? I'll tell you why. Most people IMHO don't want to do the work, get their hands dirty, bleed, sweat, have no money, or have people look down their noses at them. Sorry for the road less traveled paragraph here.

I what to say this and then I will get off this SF kick. Everyone is ignorant on some things. But isn't that is what learning is for and being open to learning. Not one single person on the planet could do EVERY profession and do it well or knows everything about everything. (Well maybe the anti-Christ) Having character and compassion for your fellow man is a much sought after commodity these days. It doesn't take a college education to get either one of those. I pity the Fowler's of this world (who would more than likely say I don't need your pity.). How sad is it that these people have so little knowledge of anything besides themselves.

Have a good one from a non-college educated, small town, over-weight, farming, Mid-Western living, thankful I am what I am and that I am where I am.

Good for you. First of all, our farmers are the lifeblood of this country. Don't ever think, no matter what you hear, that what you do isn't crucial. It is. We all contribute and that's what make the whole thing work (ok, right now it could use some help). As far as that jackass Fowler is concerned, he just committed professional suicide. He is so easy to take down, and lots of us are. All his personal info is everywhere, and there comes a time when no one wants to be associated with this vile human being. Apparently in all his travels, he has yet to understand these basic principles of human interaction. The only one I feel for, are the kids. The way the parents behaved, kharma will catch up with them. It always does.
